Running out of time

Today is already the end of January...Yesterday I went to K.Intan's house to pick the treadmill that I just bought from her....Thank you K.Intan....As I entered her house I could see all the boxes in the hallway ready to be sealed. Ya Allah...Nobody could guess how I felt at that moment...but I hide my feelings away....If not I would have surely cry. All of us here have exactly 21 day to be with her before she goes back to Malaysia. Then, there goes our Madam President leaving all the anak buah terkonteng-konteng. I bet that everybody will follow her footsteps leaving Oman one by one. I have never imagine things will turn out this way for us all. As K. Intan told me after her will be K. Rohaya. Eh you guys....janganlah macam nie....^_^. Kesian Oja sorang2 kat Muscat...tapi dah mmg suratan kan...yang bertemu mesti berpisah akhirnya....so I am going to spend this 21 days to the fullest.Sorry K. Intan, you may feel annoyed but I'm gonna bother you every time around....Hehehehe.

Moms's day out

Today,we (me,K.Intan,K.Rohaya and K.Lyn) went to Mutrah souq to accompany K.Intan to buy some souvenirs to bring back to KL....but we ended up buying souvenirs for ourselves....seems that everybody could not resist the temptation. Basically the idea was having a coffee morning at Sultan Centre and headed for the souq....but as usual me....being late....we only got to go to the souq but we had a so called breakfast at the entrance of Mutrah souq. Thanks to K.Lyn for the treat....It was nice since the view is looking at the docks and the weather was just perfect for a sip of tea....plus I have all my 3 good looking, charming sisters with me...mmm...how delightful...but I ended buying lunch at Yahya since tak sempat to reach home to cook.Hehehe....Here are the pics for views.

Our Weekend

Last weekend our family and close friends had a blast. It was a non stop outing from morn' till late at night..as our first activity was at the bowling centre. I did not joined the group as always being late..so I ended up playing with my hubby only...next to their lane....then we had our lunch at Mawaleh...AL-Maida Restaurant...it's a Yemen food..taste good.... After that we drove home and stopped by at CCC to watch the Quad Race..it was fun...something different...and later at night we went to Azaiba for the Muscat festival..I have never been to one before...what I can say is that it's just the same as what we get when we go the exhibition centre only it's bigger and more booths available....but that was not the reason....It's just that having my friends around make it more colourful...plus the thought that my dear friend K.Intan is leaving.

I hate to write this one down...how I wish it was only a dream....It came suddenly. I did not expect this news when we went to her house on Wednesday night for dinner.Darn....I just can't say it anymore....Everytime I think of it makes my heart ache...then the banjir will surely come....I just can't finish this anymore...but what I can say is that I will surely miss her with all my heart...She's the sister that I have here in Muscat...a shoulder to cry on.....K. Intan ....thank you very much for everything and having you around is a bless...Insya Allah we will meet in KL..when I got back for summer holiday...or Raya...

Last day in Tehran-28/12/2007

Phew...Sorry for the delay on the news everybody...our last day in Tehran was a plesasant one as it was not too cold. We had our last breakfast at the hotel and took some photos at the lobby while my darling hubby did the check out thingy....Overall, I can say that this was a great trip for the kids as Rasyad never touched snow. This was his first experience. We were out of the hotel at around 2 o'clock..since the road was always congested. On the way to the airport, we dropped by Ayatollah Khomeini Mausoleum. It was a huge place. After that we head straight to the airport. Our flight departured at 4 p.m. local time.Thank you to our Driver cum tourist guide, Mr .Ali Tehari. He was a great man throughout the vacation.

5th day in Tehran-27/12/2007

Today would be our last day for sightseeing. Therefore, we went to the Carpet Museum of Iran which the carpet that was bought by Rockerfella from the States and taken back by the princess back to Iran...It was a huge carpet and very pretty. Plus, they hanged a carpet that they just finished weaved a year back which has the picture of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. as he was 18 years old. If u asked me whether I believe it or not, my answer would definitely be no. Later, we went to the National Museum of Iran. It was an interesting museum but less explanation has been told. Otherwise, it would be great museum to visit to. It shows the Persepolis and how it became a ruined city. It was nice. Then at the end of the day we dropped by at the famous nuts shops in Tehran. It 's called Tavazo. Well..the pistachios were really big and satisfying plus I bought some saffron sugar in a stick. I just bought them but never tasted yet. We head back to the apartment early because tonight we had been invited for a dinner at a famous restaurant in Tehran. It was a treat by the carpet shop owner, Mr. Majeed and Mr. Nasseer. It was lovely and enjoyable.

4th day in Tehran-26/12/2007

Hmmm.....I told you so, I'm such a poor blogger....I can't even finish a journal on our vacation in a day...Allright...It goes like this....the fourth day was not that tiring...First we went to Darband. It was the other part of the foot of the mountain....It was cold there and as we had our lunch we had fire on top of us and coal underneath the table..the food was nice but it was a bit dry for me...I think it would be perfect for someone who is on diet program. Then we went to another bazaar...the purpose...was just to buy spinach for our dinner....it was not as chaotic as the Tehran Bazaar but there were still a lot of people. We went back to our apartment early today. On the way back we went to the park for Aleesha and Rasyad to play. I guess they were bored since everything was for the adults to looked at.

3rd day in Tehran-25/12/2007

It may seem that the day was a Christmas day but you won't even realized it as not a single sign showing it..which is good for an Islamic country. Allright, today we went to the park it's called Mellat Park...Here they put statues of important people that have made contributions to Iran or around the world. Here also was a lake that has turned icy but still you see the fish swims underneath it. Amazing yea?....Don't the fish catch a cold..hahaha....Then we went to King's Palace...which usually called The Green Palace. This is because the palace itself was made with green marbles all over it. It was great. The first snow that Rasyad ever played with. Here also where they displayed an Iraqi helicopter that they successfully sabotaged during the Iran -Iraq War in the 80s. Next,we went to the foot of a mountain called Tochal..Ha..here is the place where we get to play the snow. it was a nice place but unlucky for us we never get to the 7th station which situated on top of the mountain due to the cloudy weather. However,we stop at the 2nd station played our snow way down..we built snow balls and the war begun..

2nd day in Tehran-24/12/2007

I am just bad in updating my own blog down here..with 3 kids tagging along...Well, here were the story of us on the second day in Tehran. At first we went to Golestan Palace which keeps the history of the place where the kings would go on their Coronation Day..damn..it was a such a big palace plus there was a statue of one of the kings made in marble and also there was a room that was made out of glass. In that palace also is a place when I first got to see a real persian carpet. It was beautiful. I will never forget that place. Then, we went to Tehran Old Bazaar. It was the longest bazaar that I' ve ever been through..It was a 10 km strecth full of shops and I can sure you that if was jammed packed with people....from housewares to the carpets..owh...the carpets were like superb and I bought few pieces myself...I've got crazy when choosing I might say...Later, we went to the Imam Khomeini mosque which situated in the middle of the bazaar.Alhamdulillah, I got to solat Dhuhur there. It was a nice experience because mostly the Persian, they are Sunni and from where I brought up as a Shiaah. So it was a total different way. They have a stone in front of them while praying. It says that, we come from earth and we will be back to earth. I think so the theory is like that. It was a tiring day for all us as the weather was so cold and by the time we got back to the hotel the whole of us were hungry and sleepy.

Yeah..we heard about the nuclear but what the hack....so we went there from 23/12/2007 until 28/12/2007. The first time plane touched the ground I have to use the inhaler already ...due the cold condition..that would be the first day in Tehran....
